The last time we saw Robin Carnahan shoot a campaign ad on her farm, we saw the wrong color and not quite the right style. But this time she got her outfit exactly right:
She took our advice, and this time went with a light, soft blue. And plaid! Now she looks like she belongs.
Ms. Carnahan also makes excellent use of the contrast in her style against her opponent in a sharp suit - a technique that we also saw Alex Sink use to great success in Florida. This time it's not about femininity per se, it's more about earthiness and the insider/outsider perception of Washington by the voters.

Too much of a good thing
Robin Carnahan released a new video last week in her run for Senate in Missouri. She wore purple:
Unfortunately, we see more of her shirt than we do of her face - the color is too saturated and a bit too dark for her, even in bright sunlight. It also somehow doesn't relate to her surroundings. Do you wear purple on a farm or a ranch usually? I would have recommended tan or light blue or even a warm green instead.
As she has a lot of color in her shirt, she doesn't have quite enough in her brows. Like many blondes, Ms. Carnahan would benefit from the strategic use of some brow powder
in a shade selected specifically for blondes.

What they're wearing around the office
Robin Carnahan for Senate just posted a "campaign update" video that asks her staffers about their favorite parts of her campaign. It gives us a peek into what they're wearing around the office:
If you ever doubted the advice to dress for the job you want, not the job you have.... you shouldn't. Her campaign manager, who hosts the video and runs the show, is far and away the most professionally dressed. If you walked in to this office and looked around for the person in charge, you'd zero in on her right away.
