Here's Eleanor Holmes Norton in her office, discussing DC home rule:
Raising (or "popping") the collar of a blouse when it's paired with a structured jacket can look a bit aggressive. But here she pairs it with a two-tone sweater, which looks much more dressed up with the crisp white blouse underneath. An excellent, elegant outfit.

Is that the Constitution in your pocket, or are you just excited about urban development?
Eleanor Holmes Norton spoke to the crowd at a community event in Ward 8 last weekend. She wore a sleeveless blouse and narrow white pants:
This look is effortless and comfortable, as usual for the DC Delegate. But. What is in her right pocket??? It looks like a large book or something. This is a perfect a reminder of why sometimes you shouldn't do something, even if you can. Just because you have large pockets doesn't mean you should put large items in them. Especially on a slim pant like this - there should be nothing thicker than a piece of paper in your pocket.

Eleanor Holmes Norton reacts to Harry Reid's remarks
Eleanor Holmes Norton was on a local news affiliate to discuss Harry Reid's remarks on Strom Thurmond. She wore pants:
This is a great suit. The shorter length of the pants looks elegant and feminine. If you ever wondered whether dark colored pant suits are "too masculine" to wear for a public appearance, this should answer your question.
Ms. Norton famously keeps her hair quite short, which is well balanced by bold jewelry and bright colors. She might consider a slightly stronger eyebrow color, though, considering that she also wears glasses.
