A shade too far

We've seen Connecticut Senate candidate Linda McMahon use bright color to great effect in the past. But check out this latest campaign ad:

This iris color is perhaps a bit too bright. She practically glows, probably in part because of the strong reflective lighting at this event. She does stand out against the crowd, but she could have accomplished the same goal with a classic red.

  1. I like it. She's vibrant. It's stand-out. I want to listen to her. (Her message is the same blah, blah, blah we've heard from others from one side of the table or the other; and yet....) Her clothes/colors work especially well with the tame colors worn by her background. Her make-up, hair and jewelry are on-spot. It's all assertive and still understated. Good balance. To my mind, she has casual/smart chic conquered.

  2. I have to agree that her make-up does well. No ruddy undertones peeking through giving her face a red look.
